Recently, Resourceful Pro’s Associate Partner, Kerry Larkin, spoke with Larnie Mackay.
Kerry first met Larnie when she was the keynote speaker at the Young Mining Professional’s Brisbane Gala Dinner in July. She was inspired to invite her to the Pro IQ Podcast to talk about how she spearheaded the use of a new innovation in technology in underground mining, as well as her determination to drive diversity and inclusion within the sector.
In 2020, when she was Anglo American’s Underground Digital Transformation Lead, Larnie won the inaugural Maptek Technological Innovation Award at the 2020 Women in Resources Awards. Earlier this year she was appointed the third female Chair in the 32-year history of the Queensland Resources Council’s Queensland Mining Industry Health & Safety Conference.
